I think a lot of us are missing a trick in what a business person would call ‘upselling’.

I know that as a doctor, we don’t think of what we do as ‘selling’ and there is a lot more to providing a medical service compared with, for instance, a shop keeper.

However, I do think that we can treat patients better and be more helpful if we were to think about whether there is anything that could be helpful to them, that we could facilitate them purchasing, whether that be through stocking it and sending it out to them ourselves, or using affiliate links in places like Amazon.
