An asset is something that puts money in your pocket without you having to be there and for most of us, the only asset that we have is our database (and we all have a database).
Unless you have developed a process or way to treat patients that can be transferred to other doctors, then you do not have any other asset.
If you think that your medical skill or experience is an asset, then it is not, it is a job and is worthless without you doing it and so can be sold or transferred.
When you realise the value in your database, perhaps you won't ignore it as much as you have been.
