133. THE CLUB - Support the NHS
Support the NHS.
We are brought up to feel guilty about private practice as if we are being unfaithful to our NHS practice by spending time on it.
We have to realise that the NHS is in real trouble and we will need to treat more patients in the private sector, so there is nothing to be guilty about by telling patients about what you offer.
Many patients fear that private healthcare, especially self-pay, is prohibitively expensive, but we are not giving them any real information on what the costs are likely to be.
Look at how many patients have Range Rovers and new iPhones.
If we give more clarity around the process and pricing we will be helping patients and ultimately helping the NHS.
